Nature to You gets you gardening in cooperation with Town of Marana Parks and Recreation and Pima County Public Library.

All-Ages Gardening

September 21, October 19, November 16, & December 14, 2024. $40/adult ($50 non-Marana resident). All ages - Children welcome with paid adult! Price includes all four meetings.

Learn tricks to gardening in Southern Arizona by digging in! During four hands-on workshops, you will plant, explore, and taste from plots 39 and 40 in the Marana Community Garden.

In September observe the end of summer and plant for Fall. In October, get to know the garden critters and decide "keep" or "keep away". November is a time for troubleshooting and thanksgiving. In December, plant winter wheat and celebrate gardening seasons! This is a family-friendly series in a casual setting.

All ages - Children welcome with paid adult! Price includes all four meetings.

CANCELLED Make & Take Cool Container Garden

Friday, October 4, 2024. 6:00-8:00 p.m. $40/person ($50 non-Marana resident).  Ages 16 and up.  Marana Heritage River Park Brad DeSpain Stables. 

Grow cool season flowers, food, or both! This is an extension of popular past “Fall Flowers” classes. Your local garden teacher will help you choose soil and plants that do great in our desert. Mix and match plants and containers to find your style. Enjoy a cool fall evening outside with friends old and new.

No prior experience required, and all planting materials provided.

Make & Take Worm Bin

Friday, November 1, 2024. 6:00-8:00 p.m. $40/person ($50 non-Marana resident).  Ages 16 and up.  Marana Heritage River Park Brad DeSpain Stables. 

Learn about, make, and take home a fun and easy way to compost: a worm bin! In this hands-on and entertaining class, observe red wiggler earthworms and find out how to take care of them in the desert. Then let the worms make compost for you to use in your garden.

No prior experience required, and all worms and bin materials provided.
